Today we stop in at Mixed Book Bag, for something a little different. Rather than the usual interview questions, MBB asked me to discuss world-building; that is, creating a coherent, consistent framework for your characters to move about in. Not just times and distances, but technology, cultures, and so on. Fun!

Book Tour – Day 10 (sorta) REVISED
Today’s stop was (is?) to be at Teatime and Books.
[EDIT: The site manager had a bad outbreak of RealLife(TM) on Friday, but things are back to normal, now.]
However, they’ve not got “T4L” posted, as yet. The kind folks at GoddessFish sent them a reminder around 0515, but so far, nothing.
However, not wanting to disappoint, below the fold is a copy of my responses to their interview questions. Also, there’s an excerpt from “Poisoned Hearts,” a webcomic we hope to begin releasing soon!
If T&B gets it together, I’ll post an update to that effect.
Book Tour – Day 9
It’s Raining Books! Much better than men… or hen, I suppose. Another author interview… I wish more people wanted to talk to my characters; they’re so much more interesting than I am!
Today we find out more about when I chose the genre I did, as well as a deeper look into some of the things that I’m working on. Cheers!
Book Tour – Day 8
Our next stop is with Edgar’s Books, where he asks, among other questions, “What are your ambitions for your writing career?” Another one I had to think about for a bit!
This was supposed to be a two-stop day, but it seems the other host may have fallen asleep. If she awakens, I’ll update this to include a link to her website.
Book Tour – Day 7
Back to old Blighty to Alecia Stone’s book blog, CBY Book Blog. I wonder if I’ve another opportunity to insult someone in England? We shall see!
I really enjoy interview questions that force me to think. Ms. Stone had several, but I especially liked #8:
8. Besides your lead, do you have a favourite character in the story?
Tricky. You’d think from my answer to #7 it’d be Dorina, but I don’t think so. I know Fausta started out as an over-powered thug, but she managed to grow older enough to become the second lead in the sequel, “Echoes of Family Lost.” Hell, she ended up on the cover!
Book Tour – Day 6
After a bit of a slow start this morning on my part, we’re off to Lisa Haselton’s site, featuring a new excerpt about Lily’s past! Enjoy!
Book Tour – Day 4
Today we’re at author Jacey Holbrand’s place! It’s… (looks around)… a little different… than where we’ve stopped in before. No matter! I hope for some interesting comments and reviews.
Link to their hosting of my book is here!
(…errr…. what’s with all that leather-wear over there…?)
Book Tour – Day Three
BooksChatter! And wow, but have they done their homework! Not only are there links to some of the things that inspired this series in the Author Q&A link, they even went to far as to show some images from my older visual novel! Heck, even my daughters make an appearance!
I wonder if anyone will be able to help fill in “If your book was made into a movie, who would be your dream team?” That one is still a puzzle to me.
EDIT: BChatter has now added a short video based upon my mentioned playlist of some of the music I listened to while writing. Talk about above-and-beyond! They even fixed the PJTV link that – being a member – I’d been unaware was behind a paywall. Superior work!
Book Tour – Day 2
We’re off to visit with the Archaeolibrarian! Dig it!
Genocide
And here, on Day One of my book tour about cute AI’s doing cute things, I find out that they’re likely a bazillion times more dangerous than Clive Barrett and all of his ExComm thugs.
Wonderful.
If Dorina is successful in getting them off-planet, I wonder if the First and Fourth Laws are enough to stop them from glassing what’s left behind. Hmmm. Book Five, maybe?
