Part One of Goddess’ Crusade MS is complete. A hectic excerpt below. Part two is one chapter complete and another started. I’m… thinking about things. For 2.5 books of this soon to be published work, the camera has been fixed on Faustina. Sure, that includes interaction with her army, family, adversaries, and brief lover, but still her.
I’m not sure what to think of this idea, but as Pope Pius XIII said: “absence is presence.” That, coupled with the title of this post, is how I am carefully approaching Part Two. So carefully that I think there might be a Part Three and that “GC” will NOT be ready by 31 December 2020. *sigh*

Wow. All this in five hours. Sorry, folks, I’m taking tomorrow off or else I’m dead.
I’m hoping to see something that takes me off in a new direxion tomorrow. 11k words here is, I think, enough. I am SO HAPPY things ended up where they are. Sure: I can go full Will Deonne and have Henge’s nanomaterials disassociate her into a drift of sand on the floor, but I don’t think I will.
Sweet Jesus: what will their children be like?!

Saw much while at work today: project manager Chinon’s surprise when Dorina tells him she’ll be running things at Chise’s brief restart; Shandor’s possible betrayal (and thus Thaad’s possible reaxion); Pius XIII on his knees in his office in the Vatican, praying; a certain door to a certain chamber opening… as the thin rug of reality that gets torn out from under Leslie…
So I saw that. But I’m very tired and do not want to screw it all up for everyone. Please, grant me a night for them to let me dream their details. Confused? You won’t be after tomorrow’s episode of The Second Bridge.
PS You really, really think there are such things as coincidences? This showed up, today, of all days!
Writing this, I thought at the time is was the last installment. Late last night, more drunk than normal, I saw a little more about Faustina. Looking at what my then-self wrote, I’m not entirely thrilled with it. After I post this, I’m going to see if they allow me to ‘soften’ what I wrote.
She’s still going to be fundamentally good, but what eight year-old, who can move effortlessly between the machine’s home and ours wouldn’t end up a little disturbed or drunk on power? Anyway: plan on the curtain coming down on WWE on or about installment #10.
Let’s wrap up the Pope’s visit!

Gary may think that Henge has learned a little subtlety from her father, but when it comes to getting what she wants… maybe not. In the fallout of the wedding of their friend Susie, Henge unearths a problem and wants it fixed. Now. By an expert. So here’s installment seven that, along with eight, has a special guest!
