PGA, 5

Yep: was correct about a big fight. For those not conversant with my works, the imperium has always taken a dim view of androids, as it is policy to employ locals, human or demi, to do work. Are there exceptions? Sure, for visits, just like now. In ages past, Fausta and Nichole 5 would drop in now and again. RIght on the heels of that, when Graf explains what their assignment is to be, we get a little surprise from Alix. Still surprised, Graf pushes to know more the next morning.

Just for your weekend, a double-helping of drama. Now with fish.

PGA, 1, Start of Part 2

Beginning Part 2. And beginnings are delicate things, especially this one. We learn the story has moved on a few years. Then, from their report, that there are some odd beliefs about the Demis and Machines starting to arise. Finally, while Graf and Pai are married, there is the question of Alix. And what a question. I am going to have to tread very, very carefully here to not say or do something that is theologically or morally compromised. At least, more than it already is.

So, I being to lay out just what be going on for the rest of this part of the book. I’ll have to put it on hold once I get serious about that other project.

Pai-Graf, 17/17. End Part 1

Ivan has shown up in two of my books, already, and is also in one of tales of my third short story collection, due out in a few days. Vlad is new to me. I found it a little interesting that their older step-sister, Tay, did not take part in this meeting. I enjoy how Ivan forces his kid sister to “show it all” to her Intended, nearly killing him. Again. I also wonder just what Pai saw in Graf. I cannot imaging a child of Reina to be scared.

With some help from an important friend and colleague, I was able to get some words down for Part 2. However, I’ve some “real work” to do in putting together an anthology of like-minded writers, due for release by the end of this year.

Pai-Graf, 16/x

I was awake at 0420 thinking about the leading elements of Part 2 of this story. Writing is a mental illness. Tomorrow’s, Friday’s, segment will close out part 1. It’s a chat between these three kids and Pai’s older brothers. As you can see here, I once again am laying the groundwork for some kind of compromise when it comes to Alix’s sexuality; more specifically, her breedability.

Otherwise, it’s a quiet, lazy day here in RealLife. Even with cannibal barbarians eating pets two hours from my front door. I may sit on the deck and nap and read. Graf and Pai will tell me what they want when they do.

Pai-Graf, 15/x

Quick intro of a side character. I get him off screen as quickly as I can. Pai, of course, makes some lewd proposals – having Alix watch? really? – before being forced into playing Tour Guide. I should have put her in a small hat and had her carry one of those tiny flags that other tour guides do.

The bit about Reina surprised me. The possible retirement I suspected; not a departure.

Still on track for wrapping up Part 1 on Friday. Playing with some ideas for 2. It may be a 1-4 year jump between parts. We’ll, see; I do what I’m told. Graf is turning into quite the diplomat. I wonder what awaits him in Part 2?

Pai-Graf, 13/x

Imagine living in the equivalent of the US Midwest in the 1890s or maybe 1910. Internal combustion is familiar and maybe you’re heard of flying machines. Then some madwoman shows up, makes off with one of your children, shows back up with yet another crazy woman, talking about other worlds, and your son is off again. Got to hand it to this family: they roll with all this pretty well. Their neighbors down the road would likely be firing shotguns at this point.

Pai and Alix are, slowly, getting more comfortable with one another. I think that their last exchange, about Graf, is telling. In the world of the Change, everyone, human, Machine, knows things are different and to trust their hunches. They both have a hunch about Graf. I just hope they tell me, at some point.

Let’s go to Russia, next.

Pai-Graf, 11/x

Pai continues to “bite back her spleen,” as Dante said. Thankfully, Alix gets that and tries, too. There’s a little exposition about what the ships they use can do, followed by a very brief visit from someone on-high.

Apologies for the broken update schedule. I am hopefully finally on the mend, now that we’ve an idea what is wrong with me and thus how to treat it. The rest of today should be quiet, so I am going to see if I get these three first to Graf’s home and then at least to St. Peterburg. I appreciate your tolerance.

Pai-Graf, 6/x

Shorter entry as there will a lot more going on this week. Not feeling terribly well so will push out updates as I can.

This is turning into a complex situation and Pai’s aggressive sexuality is not really helping things. I do wonder, though, given her speed and breadth of thought, if Pai has not considered Alix as a host for Graf’s children? Or, does she have something much more complicated planned? Guess we’ll know more, tomorrow. I think I’ll lie down a bit.

Pai-Graf, 4/x

A rival appears. Never had something like this shown to me before. Plenty of romances, sure, but to have Alix come out of nowhere and immediately lay claim to the main character? Who is already spoken for? I’m on very unfamiliar ground, right now. This is either take the story places I have not imagined or will wreck it on the rocks in about a thousand words. We shall see.

In the background there is more I want to know about Ceres, and these two girls are not helping. And “my flesh needs to be fed” sailed right over the heads of both humans. That will definitely come up next.

Pai-Graf, 2/x

After the horrid months of January thru May, my wife is taking a well-deserved vacation at Key West. As an uxorious person, it is likely I shall begin to lose my mind almost immediately. I’m trying to slam out parts 3-6 as fast as I can, as I’ll be insane in a few days and ‘prolly delete whatever posts I make.

Below, after Graf’s confusion and uncertainty, Pai, now whole, attempts to physically and mentally comfort him. There is still leeriness on his part, but I think things get better. I’ve heard it said that “in freefall, doggie-style and reverse-cowgirl are the same thing.”

A “housewife plug-in.” Dang, but that would be useful.
